Overview

One ceiling sensor doing two jobs: passive-infrared presence detection over an area up to 450 sq ft, and a closed-loop photocell reading how much daylight is already in the room. Crestron publishes the behaviour as an outcome: lighting dims to a lower level when there is enough natural daylight from windows and skylights. It can also run in vacancy-only mode, where the lights switch off once the room empties and are switched on by hand — with a published 15-second grace period after they go off, during which movement in the room brings them straight back. It reports to the Crestron system over Cresnet and is set up in Crestron Toolbox or with the optional IR remote.
